Panelists serve on a voluntary basis and do not receive compensation. Collectively, the panel will have a solid working knowledge of public art and the medium under consideration for each project, an appreciation for community involvement, and be free of conflicts of interest or the potential for financial gain from either the project or the purchase of specific artwork by the City. Each panel is specific to the public art project to which it is assigned and requires expertise that reflects the nature of the project. Per Carson City’s Public Art Policy, Public Art Panels will be created for each public art project and shall be established by the Arts and Culture Supervisor. The Carson City Arts & Culture Program is seeking community members, artists, and arts professionals/educators to participate in upcoming public art selection panels.
